This was done in a college course. Where I was told not to write the full episode, even though I struggle with bibles and outlines without typeing it all out first. She said I would do it in another class, where in that class I did Identity Me. I had started this in a different class when exploring premises. College porfessors are confusing when they say, other class, then told no, and others like you have to do something new even if you only did a premise for 10 things in another course they want something new...
We All Bleed Oil
This is also something I had no idea what to do, so I asked my mom when doing a premise for crime and drama.
She has seen them all to love MONK and BONES.
She said she would want to see the same crime ane everything as all the shows do, but with Robots and oil all over the place instead of blood. Since they don't actually show the guts on TV they can with robot parts.
Synopsis
We All Bleed Oil is an hour-long drama that follows Detectives Bradlebot Meiler and Cooper Unitson as they investigate a series of murders linked to a new tainted oil source. The story takes place in Capacitor City, located on a planet in an unknown universe where everything, including the inhabitants, animals, and weather, are robotic and electrical. The main suspects are a mafia gang known as The Bratvabots, led by their Godfather, Pratcher Shylockz. Their goal is to distribute the tainted oil and take control of the city, eliminating anyone who stands in their way.
Assisting the detectives in their investigation is Doctor Meecro Youlswell, an expert in robotics who performs autopsies on the victims to uncover clues. These clues reveal more than just murders, as Doctor Youlswell secretly uses mismatched parts from the victims to create a new robot that is not legally patented or available on the market. Other allies include Garret Gears, a celebrity who encourages public support for the detectives and the mayor, and Janit Volts, who works under Mayor Gordon Charger to reassure the citizens when the murders are made public. The media plays a significant role in the story, leaking information about the murders and tainted oil while secretly collaborating with The Bratvabots to change the city's status quo.
World
In the world of We All Bleed Oil, all beings are robots, including animal life. Everyday life involves working, eating, socializing, maintaining families, and even experiencing crime. To survive, everyone needs to regularly replenish their oil supply. A tainted source of oil is being produced and distributed within the economy, leading to both positive and negative effects on the robots. Crime rates are rising, and the Mafia Bratvabots, who were nearly eradicated years ago, are reemerging. The tainted oil contains narcotics that reduce the frequency of needed oil changes but can cause mental instability and insanity.
Two detectives are assigned to track down the source of the tainted oil. Most leads point to the Bratvabots, a mafia gang involved in various crimes. The protagonist, Bradelbot Meiler, has resolved every case in his career but faces challenges in identifying the leader behind the tainted oil distribution. His wife, Sandy, notices that his work is affecting his personal life and reminds him of the importance of family. His partner, Cooper, admires Bradelbot’s life but prefers his own lifestyle, which includes heavy drinking and dating multiple women while caring for his father in an older community.
Notable twists involve celebrities and politicians with ties to the tainted oil, despite publicly opposing it to maintain their lifestyles. Additionally, a doctor possesses illegal knowledge and omits certain key points or evidence from crime scenes and autopsies.
The theme of this story is a crime medical drama with Noir elements. The overarching themes include Bradelbot struggling to solve interconnected cases and realizing the significance of his wife and family in maintaining his well-being. The incidents and problems relate to both wildlife and citizens within and outside the city, with murders occurring sporadically and knowingly or unknowingly involving the public.
The gimmick – They are robots that resemble humans, with oil for blood, wires for veins, computer chip brains, and assembled with bolts and screws. Repairs are straightforward if no major damage occurs, provided one can afford them. Some have lived for centuries through regular maintenance. Parents might prioritize their children or donate parts to keep them functioning correctly. Robots need to drink oil and undergo regular oil changes, especially older ones. Augmentations and upgrades enhance careers, hobbies, and activities. Lower-class robots differ from upper-class ones in appearance, sound, and functionality. Wealthy robots have pristine components and operate quietly, while poorer robots may be rusted, held together with tape, noisy, and emit unpleasant odors.
1-hour Drama
Each episode features a death or murder, either seen directly or discovered later. We learn about robot anatomy through the deceased robots and their causes of death. Although the Mafia is often blamed, they are motivated by profit. Meanwhile, some robots are psychopathic and kill to be apprehended.
Story Arc:
The Detectives must stop the tainted oil before the Bratvabots take over the city. As cases pile up unsolved, their struggle impacts both their personal lives and the city's well-being.
Main Characters
Bradlebot Meiler
He is an intelligent and motivated detective committed to solving his cases and ensuring justice is served. He is a tall, middle-aged robot who appears to be in his young-adult years, and due to his role in law enforcement, he is very fit and agile, consistently maintaining the durability of his robotic physiology. Until this major case involving tainted oils, he had never failed to solve a case. Throughout the series, he develops a lack of interest in himself, his family, and established guidelines as he becomes obsessed with ending the tainted oil problem and stopping its source. Unbeknownst to him, the Bratvabots are influencing events, intentionally leading him to dead ends and provoking him.
As a detective, he possesses various upgrades and weapons that surpass those available to the police officers ranked around him, including the Police Chief. Despite having warrant clearance, investigation scanners, and numerous other enhancements and augmentations that others do not possess, he evolves by taking the investigations beyond traditional crime scenes and evidence to view the city and its citizens in ways no one else can. In desperation, he resorts to unorthodox methods to solve the case. Although Bradlebot seldom fired his weapons, he realizes that matching the Bratvabot’s tactics leads to greater success in stopping the tainted oil, albeit still within legal means. Essentially, he transitions from being a good cop to adopting more aggressive measures to achieve positive outcomes.
Upon returning home each day, he converses with his wife, who frequently gossips with many people, providing insights related to Bradlebot’s cases. He finds courage and strength in his bond and love with his wife, which helps him overcome the recurring challenges of the tainted oil cases. This realization leads him to understand that the case cannot be solved by just him and Cooper; they require assistance from the city and current political power, which is threatened by the Bratvabots leading a party in the upcoming election campaigns while legally distributing the new oil to the public.
His duty is to serve and protect the citizens of Capacitor City, elevating his detective role beyond what he was built for. The cases involving each murder and the new oil bring out a more adaptive detective in him, contributing to the restoration and maintenance of order and peace in the city.
Cooper Unitson
He is quick-witted and resourceful in solving cases, often setting traps or paying to create diversions. While Bradlebot follows protocols, Cooper engages with everyone around crime scenes and thoroughly reviews surveillance footage.
Approaching middle age, he avoids settling down despite pressure from friends and family. His attractive features make it easy for him to find new girlfriends, though he tends to be a heavy drinker, which sometimes affects his vocal functions. Raised by his father-bot, he now supports him financially.
At the end of season 2, Cooper adopts a robot-boy, proving he can be a good father without a partner. He frequents bars to find leads and assists Bradlebot with advanced detective software and gear. Cooper uses interrogation and profiling scanners to gain insights into suspects and enjoys unrestricted access to surveillance through his clearances. In shootouts, he distracts the enemy, allowing Bradlebot to take precise shots.
Their teamwork reveals how interconnected their internal hardware and upgrades are, enhancing their capabilities as detectives.
Pratcher Shylockz
He leads the Bratvabots Mafia, orchestrating crimes to seize control of the city. Responsible for many murders, he silences opponents harshly. He has enhanced cloaking abilities.
Supporting Characters
Janit Volts
She is a politician working under the mayor, aspiring to lead yet remaining just below leadership. With strong political connections and dedication to improving citizens' lives, she often pushes detectives to stop tainted oil sources. Living alone in an upscale penthouse, she uses her wealth and connections to track Bratvabots. Despite dating influential figures and facing scandals, she battles negative media portrayals, especially when citizens support Don Bratvabot and tainted oil. Fearlessly, she stands up to the police, Bratvabots, and the media to uphold the mayor’s position and prevent societal decline.
Doctor Meecro Youlswell
He is either nearing retirement or already retired, yet remains in excellent shape, as wealthy individuals often do. He appears in every episode, performing autopsies and delivering key information for the Detective's cases. Each episode, he educates the audience on Robotic Humanoids, including their functions and how they can be sabotaged, such as by drowning. Most crime scenes feature bodies with mismatched parts, which he secretly assembles. As a doctor, he can create life in robots with unauthorized parts, despite the illegality. He performs oil tests like bloodwork to identify specific compounds and informs detectives about the effects of contaminated oil. He also helps detectives understand their upgrades and activate new levels, providing insights beyond their manuals, as he installed all their augmentations.
Garret Gears
Garret is a television personality known for his role in a series. He has undergone physical changes to increase muscle mass. He is introduced in the series when detectives interrupt a filming session, mistakenly believing they have encountered a crime scene.
Garret is well-connected and knowledgeable about various people and places. He is sociable and enjoys trying different activities. He provides useful information to assist the detectives in their pursuit of the Bratvabots, including names and locations. His television show is filmed across the city, utilizing both well-known and renovated locations.
Due to his celebrity status, Garret faces threats from the Bratvabots but maintains a defensive stance against them while ensuring his safety. While he operates within the law, the Bratvabots engage in black-market activities. To counteract their distribution of tainted oil, Garret organizes events to promote products that bear his brand.
Despite media intrusion into his life, Garret uses his connections and retains a history with Janit Volts, though they are currently just friends. Although he may appear secretive to some, Garret fundamentally disapproves of harmful substances such as tainted oil or drugs, and prefers high-quality products.
Bratvabots
The mafia is involved in various serious crimes including fraud, theft, drug trafficking, harassment, and prostitution. Most members either end up in prison or take their own lives to evade capture. Some choose to surrender and transform their lives. They possess concealed weapons within their bodies, such as guns hidden by plating to avoid detection by scanners.
Members of the mafia are organized into ranks: associates provide information and perform tasks; goons enforce orders and offer protection; capos, or mob bosses, maintain order and liaise with dons and the godfather. Dons lead each group, and their capture often results in the downfall of subordinates. The godfather is the ultimate target for detectives aiming to eliminate the criminal operation and restore the city to its rightful state.
Dons and the godfather are typically implicated in murders, while capos instruct goons to cover up evidence and dispose of it. Associates and goons covertly and publicly distribute tainted oil throughout Capacitor City. When Bratvabots orchestrate the manipulation of detectives, legal systems, and political power, they gain control over the city and tilt societal balance in their favor. One of the dons is a politician campaigning for an upcoming election, complicating matters further for all involved and challenging detectives to adapt continuously while safeguarding the godfather.
The Media
The Media consists of TV, Radio, and Advertising.
The media frequently portrays the mayor and police negatively while favouring the Bratvabots. They manipulate interviews, over-exaggerate events, and omit truths. For instance, they might show Cooper shooting a citizen without context, ignoring that he did so to prevent an electrical surge. The media turns against everyone, promoting chaos, especially when tainted oil spreads through the city, causing harm. One news anchor even died from its overuse in his hot tub after endorsing it.
As a highly advanced city, screens are everywhere. During major events like high-speed chases, images and footage appear on street monitors, billboards, and various devices used by robots. The city's largest park has a famous fountain with a hologram projection for ads and political messages. Janit and a well-known news anchor often broadcast opposing messages from this point.

Yee gats! Pratcher, you gave me quite the scare. Didn’t you trust me? I’m doing what you asked. Ahead of schedule I might ad.
PRATCHER, walks up metal stairs to the second level. Before he reaches the top, he activates cloaking to disappear. His footsteps can still be heard.
LITEZER (CONT’D)
Be nice to have the rest of my pay tonight and not tomorrow like we planned.
LITEZER, the footsteps stop. He looks over to not see Pratcher; confused.
LITEZER (CONT’D) Pratcher? Ello? Where’d you go?
LITEZER, looks around. He steps off the ladder against the final oil tank.
LITEZER (CONT’D) (confused)
I could have swore...
PRATCHER, uncloaks standing behind Litezer to smash his head in with a wrench.
LITEZER, hits the ground to roll over.

COOPER
Braaaaaad-ddddd.
BRADLEBOT
(On the phone)
Let me guess, you need me to pick you up? You didn’t respond to my text nor did you answer big-man’s call.
COOPER
You know the chief has too much to do in a day. If he get’s you, he gets me. And yes, I would love it if you pick me up.
BRADLEBOT
I’m turning the corner now.
COOPER
Perfect! Be down. Cooper hangs up. He sits up to dress really fast in a suit, minus the tie, and shirt not buttoned all the way. The woman comes over to kiss him and he handed her stuff.
COOPER (CONT’D)
I gotta’ go. Like, now.
He gently shoves her toward the door and slams it shut running down the hall. She runs after him. He called the elevator, to take the stairs running. The woman was trying to put her shoes on. He exited the building to walk to Bradlebot’s car. The elevator opened and he got in the car fast to smack the roof as he closed the door and they drove off. The woman ran out with one shoe falling off, for the building to lock not allowing her to get back in.

BRADLEBOT
Thanks. We’ll see what we find.
Bradlebot and Cooper pass the police line. They take photos and examine the dead robot and area around.
BRADLEBOT (CONT’D)
He wasn’t murdered here. Take note, no signs of oil are anywhere. He must have spewed out prior to this location. A dumping. From where? And by who? Why?
Everything Bradlebot speaks is being recorded and noted by software he is using just looking with his eyes and looking at his forearm to verify.
